Using the Samsung Charge Smart Phone

So what exactly makes a phone like the Samsung Charge "smart"? The Samsung Charge, properly known as the Samsung Droid Charge, is a mobile device utilizing the Android operating system. The Samsung Charge is a touch screen phone not too unlike the original Motorola Droid or Samsung Galaxy S, yet different enough to be a completely new model. It is a smart phone that provides a host of accessories for the user. In the start, the only universal accessory offered for the Samsung Charge was the SanDisk MicroSD card. Some of these features include Micro-SD compatibility, an 8MP camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth connections, and a slick multi-touch display.

Smart phone technology today surrounds itself it with a different batch of features, not which all of them are mutually exclusive to others. Smart phones are contrasted with feature phones: middle-lower end mobile telephones that offer 21st century features, albeit without the computing power of a smart phone. These phones were originally termed "feature phones" because their assets were not on most contemporary phones. Yet, as time went on (and the smart phone came to prominence), feature phones were termed "low end". Modern smart phones are now characterized with those that can run multiple applications, run on operating systems, and boasts a lot of memory.

The Droid Charge, and those like it, can be characterized as a "smart phone" for a few reasons. First, the device supports a complex operating system such as Android 2.2 on a responsive touch screen. It also uses a Micro-SD card that can store up to 32 megabytes of data on it, including music that can be synced from iTunes. The Droid's 8MP camera shows how photo technology today on mobile devices are capable of. Finally, the Samsung Charge's Wi-Fi compatibility solidifies its processing capabilities and smart phone status.

Samsung Charge accessories consist of many accessories including some such as the Samsung Charge case and Samsung Charge screen protector, have served to highlight the device's ability to compete against market giants such as the Motorola Droid and Apple iPhone. Samsung's near-fluid adaption to the Google Android operating system gives previous users of the Apple market share a sense that this is a familiar smart phone. Its capability to run a 1 GHz, front and rear cameras, and TouchWiz on the Android 2.2 platform highlights the Samsung Droid Charge's power.

Regardless of how we define a smart phone, the Samsung Droid Charge easily meets the standards for one. It has the ability to handle multiple applications at once, LTE connectivity for high data sharing, and an adaptable music player. This can easily be all delivered to the Droid's TouchWiz screen. The Samsung Droid Charge is a smart phone for the modern person; it's packed with data sharing, music playing, and program processing. Although it can easily be overwhelming for users not adapted to Google's OS, the phone is a great interpretation of the Droid's structure.
